Trump's Gaza plan announced
US President Donald Trump's plans to end the Gaza war have been announced. According to Al Hadath TV, the document also commits the US to preventing the Israeli occupation from annexing the West Bank.
The main points of the plan are as follows:
Ceasefire and release of hostages;
Disarm Hamas: amnesty granted to fighters who renounce armed struggle;
Humanitarian assistance and recovery;
Gaza will be administered by "authorized Palestinians" under international supervision until the Palestinian Authority implements reforms.
Arab and international troops will provide security for Gaza, while Israel will gradually withdraw its troops.
Once the hostages are released, Israel will release the imprisoned Palestinians.
The possibility of establishing a Palestinian state in the future may be considered in negotiations, but only after reforms and reconstruction.
