I am the reason for the agreement on Gaza - Biden
US President Joe Biden delivered his final speech at the White House before leaving office. Summing up his tenure as president, he credited his team for the agreement on the Gaza Strip.
Delivering his farewell speech four days before the inauguration of newly elected US President Donald Trump, Biden said that the decision to cease fire between Israel and Hamas was in line with a plan he and his team had personally put forward in May of last year.
The President noted that he has informed the new US administration, which will soon begin its work, about this.
"This plan was developed by me and my team. The new administration is just implementing it," Joe said.
The outgoing US president said that his entire White House team had successfully completed very complex tasks. Speaking about foreign policy, the politician drew attention to the global competition with China and the US's assistance to Ukraine in its conflict with the Russian Federation.
"We have strengthened NATO. Ukraine is still free. We have moved forward in our competition with China. We have achieved many more similar results. I am proud of what we have achieved together for the American people, and I wish the new administration success," he said.
