The 20th International Quran Competition is being held in Jordan, with women from 40 countries participating.


It can be said that this competition, which has been organized since 1993, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Quran competitions in the world. To date, more than 45,000 participants have participated in the competitions.


This year's competition was also attended by Jordan's Minister of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Mohammed al-Khalaila. Speaking on behalf of Queen Rania Abdullah, he noted that such competitions are an expression of Jordan's commitment to Islam.



Lamis al-Khazem, director of women's affairs at the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, said that such competitions among women have been held regularly for 20 years.
