Israeli warplanes reportedly carried out airstrikes in Yemen following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's threat to the Houthis.

According to reports from Jerusalem, a senior official briefed by Israeli media confirmed that Israeli jets had carried out airstrikes in Yemen.

It was known that the Houthis had attacked Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, after which Netanyahu threatened to retaliate against Yemen.

Israeli Channel 12 television reported, citing security sources, that Israeli aircraft dropped approximately 48 bombs on more than 10 sites in Yemen. Israeli officials reportedly notified the United States before the attacks.

In addition, it was reported that the port of Hodeidah, which had previously been hit by airstrikes, was seriously damaged in a re-directed attack, and that Houthi-owned cement factories were also being targeted.

An Israeli security official speaking to Channel 13 said preparations are being made for possible counterattacks by the Houthis following the airstrikes.

A message posted on the Telegram page of the Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV channel said that the port of Hodeidah, located in western Yemen, was targeted by six airstrikes by the US and Israel.

A cement factory located in the Bachil district of Hodeidah city was also damaged by Israeli attacks.

It should be recalled that yesterday, Ben Gurion Airport in the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv, was targeted by a ballistic missile by the Houthis.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu then issued a statement, saying, "We are working in cooperation with the United States. We have struck the Houthis before, and we will continue to do so in the future."
