Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on May 12 following the last four days of military clashes with Pakistan.

"This is not a time of war, but this is not a time of terror either. If another terrorist attack is carried out against India, there will be a strong response," Modi said in his speech.

Modi also referred to the suspension of the water agreement between India and Pakistan, adding that "water and blood cannot flow together."

Earlier, a US-brokered ceasefire agreement was reached between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, after which India opened 32 airports in the north and west of the country.
