Sudanese army takes control of Khartoum
On March 26, the chairman of the Sudanese Sovereign Council and commander-in-chief of the army, Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, announced the complete liberation of Khartoum.
It is known that the Sudanese army has recaptured strategic points in the city - Khartoum International Airport and the presidential palace - from the separatist Rapid Action Forces.
According to Al-Jazeera, on March 21, al-Burhan visited the presidential palace and acknowledged the army's successful offensive.
While most of the capital is now under government control, separatists remain active in the southern regions.
