The Kabul administration announced that more than five thousand garbage bins have been installed in the area. This issue was not raised in Afghanistan even during the rule of previous regimes.

"In order to maintain the cleanliness of the city and improve its appearance, the Kabul City Hall has begun installing special waste containers along sidewalks and main streets. The project budget is $504,000."

"In the past, millions of Kabul residents arbitrarily dumped their garbage in landfills located near residential areas or into the Kabul River. This led to an increase in infectious diseases in the absence of urban sewage and normal water supply," the statement said.
