Trump promises "big trade" to Russia and Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has promised that a deal between Russia and Ukraine this week would open up "great trade" opportunities for both countries with the US.
In a statement published on the Truth Social platform, Trump welcomed the temporary Easter truce between the parties and called on Moscow and Kiev to reach a permanent agreement.
"I hope Russia and Ukraine will reach an agreement this week. After that, both countries will be able to establish a great trade relationship with the United States and make great profits," Trump wrote.
In his address, the White House leader addressed Putin and Zelensky, emphasizing that they had two options: to continue the war or to establish peace and achieve economic stability through economic cooperation.
