Chinese investor to build $250 million complex in Andijan
A Chinese investor plans to build a modern complex in the city of Babur, Andijan region, with an investment of $250 million. This was announced during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the region.
According to the presidential press service, after the announcement of the implementation of construction work in the city of Babur, many investors expressed interest in participating in the construction of the city.
In particular, a Chinese investor wanted to build a modern complex here with an investment of $250 million.
According to the project, a business center, a hotel, shopping centers, and housing for 3,000 apartments will be built on an area of 55 hectares, the report says.
It is also planned to commission a total of 763 small and micro hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 24 megawatts in Andijan this year, and another 20 megawatts next year. One of the Chinese companies intends to establish a production facility for the necessary equipment for micro hydroelectric power plants in the region. It is noted that the constructed hydroelectric power plants will be provided with free maintenance services for 1 year.
Mirziyoyev, who visited Andijan, gave instructions to officials to increase investments, work closely with investors, and create the necessary conditions.
