International University of Turkic States to be established in Tashkent
The International University of Turkic States will begin its activities in Tashkent starting from the 2025/2026 academic year. This was stated in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Establishment of the International University of Turkic States", adopted on January 25.
The educational process at the university is based on international experience and standards. In particular, the curricula are developed based on the programs of Turkish higher education institutions, which are among the top 1000 in the rankings of internationally recognized organizations and are leaders in their field.
Student education will be provided on a fee-based contract basis. A governing board will also be established to effectively organize and coordinate the activities of the university.
The establishment of this university is an important step towards further strengthening cooperation between Turkic countries in the fields of education, culture, and science.
