According to the presidential decree, the salaries of school and kindergarten principals and their deputies will increase from September 1, 2025. The salaries of school principals will increase by 20%, and those of their deputies by 15%.

The salaries of kindergarten directors will be equalized to the rates of school deputy directors. This will lead to an increase in the income of more than 10,000 school directors, about 7,000 kindergarten leaders, and about 35,000 deputies.

A system of incentives based on years of service will also be introduced for 15,000 administrative employees in the public education system. The bonus for school employees will be increased from 50 percent to 75 percent of the minimum wage.

Another change is that a large portion of the proceeds from renting out school buildings will now be directed toward the development of the school itself. Previously, 40 percent of the proceeds were retained, but now this figure will be increased to 75 percent.

At the same time, from January 1, 2026, school principals and deputy principals will receive an additional monthly bonus based on performance results (KPI). A 20 percent bonus will be added to the principals' salaries, and a 10 percent bonus will be added to the deputies' salaries.
