On November 6, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Donald Trump on his election as the President of the United States of America.
"Your convincing victory in the elections clearly confirmed once again that your programs and plans aimed at increasing the influence and economic power of the United States in the international arena, ensuring global development and prosperity, of a rich experienced and skilled politician like you, are actively supported by the American people," the congratulation reads.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that he especially appreciates the unchanging position of the United States aimed at supporting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Uzbekistan, "the constant support it has been showing to fundamental reforms that have become irreversible."
He recalled that a new era of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States began after the negotiations held at the White House in May 2018 during Trump's first presidency.
The head of Uzbekistan expressed his interest in continuing friendly relations with the US administration headed by Trump, and in fully implementing all agreements reached at the highest and highest levels.
"Also, we are in favor of expanding regional cooperation within the framework of the S5+1 platform and the Agreement on trade and investment between Central Asian countries and the United States," he said.
Also, in the greeting, he expressed confidence that in the future, ensuring stable peace in Afghanistan and contributing to its economic and social development will become an integral part of mutual cooperation.
He also informed that he will wait for Donald Trump to come to Uzbekistan on an official visit.
