The total cost of the project is estimated at $30 million, the director of the Navoiy FEZ, Habib Abdullaev, told Sputnik. The first aircraft is scheduled to be launched in October 2025.


A memorandum was signed between the Directorate of the Navoi Free Economic Zone JSC and the Russian Experimental Design Bureau "Pervoe" LLC at the INNOPROM exhibition in Tashkent.


The document envisages the deployment of civilian manned and unmanned aircraft production based on the SP-30 project. It is said that starting in October, production of 100 aircraft per year will begin.


Production is aimed at meeting the domestic needs of Uzbekistan, as well as for export to the countries of the Middle East, Central and South Asia.


For your information, the SP-30 is an all-metal, two-seat aircraft, and is one of the most widely produced light aircraft in Russia.
