Germany has decided to close the Iranian consulates in Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg and Munich. This was caused by the execution of Jamshid Sharmahd, who has dual citizenship of Germany and Iran. According to Tehran, the decision to close the consulates creates unreasonable difficulties for Iranian citizens and violates their basic rights.
