A regional forum-council of the heads of emergency situations ministries of Central Asian countries was held in Cholpon-Ota, near Issyk-Kol, Kyrgyzstan. At the event, it was emphasized that Central Asia remains a vulnerable region prone to natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, and the need to strengthen mutual cooperation in protecting the population and regions from natural and man-made emergencies.
