In the first half of 2025, Uzbekistan's total external debt reached $72.2 billion. Of this, the volume of state external debt amounted to $36.8 billion and corporate external debt amounted to $35.4 billion. In the last 3 months, our external debt increased by $3.8 billion, and in the last 1 year, by $15.6 billion.

In the first quarter of 2025, Uzbekistan's gross external debt reached $68.4 billion. According to the analysis of economist Mirkomil Holboev, in the first quarter of this year, total interest payments on gross external debt amounted to $881 million, an increase of 12.4% or $98 million compared to the same period in 2024.
