President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tawfiq bin Fawzan, who is in Uzbekistan. The Minister presented Mirziyoyev with a piece of the Kiswa, the sacred Kaaba shroud, as a gift from Saudi Arabia's King Salman Al Saud to the people of Uzbekistan.

Several decisions made by US President Donald Trump have been seen as a boon to Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Trump's restrictions on the International Criminal Court, which had previously issued an arrest warrant for Putin, have also played into Putin's hands.
