According to the new guidelines, Chinese government officials are strictly prohibited from consuming rare and expensive foods (delicacies), cigarettes and alcohol while on duty. They are also prohibited from making large expenditures on foreign business trips, ceremonially seeing off guests at airports, using luxurious decorations at conferences and spending excessively.
