An agreement on strategic partnership in the field of green energy production and transmission was signed between Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The document envisages the integration of the energy systems of the Central Asian and South Caucasian countries, as well as the supply of ecologically clean energy to Europe and other markets.

These "green" power plants, built at a cost of 2 billion dollars, are capable of providing uninterrupted electricity to 2 million households.
