Representatives of China, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan reached an agreement in Tehran to coordinate rail freight rates. The agreement will serve to improve a transport corridor aimed at increasing the flow of goods from China to Europe via Central Asia and the Middle East.
The governments of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan are set to sign a historic railway agreement.
The Bakhti-Ayagoz railway will increase the carrying capacity between Kazakhstan and China from 28 million tons to 48 million tons.
