President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in China. The head of state expressed Tashkent's support for the idea of gradual expansion of the organization.

Preparations for the summit of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have been completed in Kazakhstan. The summit will be held in Astana on July 3-4 in the SCO+ format with the participation of 16 heads of state. The leaders of Turkey, Belarus, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Qatar, UAE and Turkmenistan will also participate in this meeting as observers. Also, a decision on Belarus' full membership in the SCO is expected.
