The new agreement stipulates the parties' obligations not to participate in any blocs or alliances directed against each other and to refrain from participating in any actions that, in the opinion of one of the parties, would harm the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Uzbek Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov signed a plan for the implementation of a program of strategic partnership between the countries in the military sphere for 2026-2030. The meeting discussed issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Russian allied relations and implementing the agreements reached during Putin's visit to Uzbekistan last year.
