The White House has revoked the visas and legal status of more than 1,000 foreign students in the past month, with the largest number of students from India and China affected, according to the Associated Press.

Students were notified by email that their visas had been cancelled. Many students, who were at risk of deportation, have not received an official explanation for the cancellation.

According to the source, the main reason for the visa cancellation is related to the participation of students and other foreign citizens in pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

As a result, many students have sued the Trump administration. Some federal judges, including Dartmouth University and Montana State University, have temporarily restored the legal status of students.

Recall that in January, President Trump signed an executive order "On Combating Anti-Semitism," which provides for the cancellation of visas for foreigners who support Palestine.
